Customer Review: Great supplement to the Jacob’s Algebra book
I teach two classes of homeschooled kids (one with 6 kids, one with 16) and use the Harold Jacob’s Elementary Algebra book. In my 10th(!) year of teaching this subject, I have (finally) found this warmup book and it’s really handy! I use it as seatwork as the kids are arriving and settling in to review what happened last week, and to review and review and review distributing that minus sign through the parentheses!! Each page can be finished in about 10 - 15 minutes (if you do it all) and many problems have “tricks” (ex: Evaluate (n**2 + n)/(n+1) for n=4, n= -3, and n = 10…when they get to the end they see they always get n, and then you can ask them to figure out why.)
